On May 23, 2022 a delegation led by Dr. Mhandisi Kambamura - Deputy Minister of Mines of The Republic of Zimbabwe was accorded a warm welcome at MPMR. The visiting Dignitaries were delighted to see the State of the Art infrastructure and Technology deployed at Mwanza Precious Metals Refinery which has a capacity of 480kgs to refine to purity of 999.9.

The Hon Deputy Minister stated he was pleased to state that Tanzania, is a successful country in the mining sector, notably in the development of small-scale miners, which attracted them to learn the best way to extract, explore, add value and trade in minerals.

Further, Mr. Deusdedith Magala, Director of Human Resources & Administration of STAMICO and JMC Chair of MPMR, reiterated the current investment environment is very encouraging for Zimbabwean traders to register their businesses and bring in their gold for refining to Mwanza Precious Metals Refinery.
